Sexy Swimwear On The Runway On South Beach

It's The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim

Runs From July 17-July 21

Features Hottest Swimwears Designers For 2009

MIAMI BEACH (CBS4) ― Swimwear fashionistas from all over the world are coming together on South Beach for the annual Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week Swim.

The sizzling hot event, which takes place at the Raleigh Hotel, features some of the sexiest swimwear for 2009.

Fashion Week Swim showcases an array of designers including Sylvie Cachay, Ed Hardy, Custo Barceleno, Vitamin A, Red Carter, Pistol Panties, and Tommy Bahama just to name a few.

The first show was Thursday night with swimwear by Diesel. Immediately following the runway show, Diesel hosted the official kick-off party to celebrate the first night of a five night long week. The party featured a live music performance at the Raleigh Hotel pool with 800 guests expected to attend.

Fashion Week Swim is described as the hottest event of the summer in the sexiest city in the world and not only features beautiful models in skimpy swimsuits, but also celebrities, supermodels and plenty of fashion insiders.

The 5-day event coincides with the swimwear industry's largest trade show and provides a runway platform for designers' swimwear and resort collections. It runs through July 21st.
